Responsibilities
- Supervise visits between children and their non-custodial parents or guardians in a structured, safe environment.
- Monitor interactions to ensure they are appropriate, respectful, and aligned with court-mandated guidelines.
- Document visit details accurately, including behavioral observations and any incidents that occur during supervision.
- Collaborate with legal professionals, child welfare agencies, and family law practitioners to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to support positive family engagement and address conflicts or concerns proactively.
- Respond effectively to crisis situations or behavioral health issues that may arise during visits, ensuring safety at all times.
- Provide support for individuals with disabilities or special needs to facilitate meaningful visitation experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social work, child welfare, family law, or related fields; prior work with children is highly valued.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, conflict management, and behavioral health strategies.
- Knowledge of child protective services protocols and best practices for supervised visitation.
- Ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques to promote positive communication and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain detailed records accurately.
