Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, self-starting Client Accounting Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client-facing environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and takes ownership of their work. You'll oversee a portfolio of 40+ clients, primarily consisting of small businesses and nonprofit organizations, while supervising a Junior Bookkeeper to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 40+ monthly accounting clients, most of which are small businesses and nonprofit organizations.
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO), with occasional work in QuickBooks Desktop.
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and timely communication.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of a Junior Bookkeeper.
- Ensure all client deadlines are met while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and client efficiencies.
- Collaborate with internal team members to deliver outstanding client service.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting or client accounting experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Experience managing multiple clients in a public accounting, CAS (Client Accounting Services), or outsourced accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online; experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
- Experience working with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and mentoring others.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 (depending on experience)
