Fairwinds – Nantucket’s Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Administrator to join our team. This part-time, year-round position offers an opportunity to contribute to vital Behavioral Health Services on Nantucket. This position will start at per diem $25/hr. The role involves providing front desk support, maintaining a welcoming environment, and facilitating client interactions while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to text messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Welcome clients and check them in and out for appointments.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm client appointments.
- Process client payments accurately.
- Scan, upload, and maintain electronic documents and records.
- Assist prospective clients with the enrollment and intake process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.
- Protect client privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or healthcare-related education is a plus.
- Previous experience in a front desk, administrative, medical office, or customer service role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preferred knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience handling confidential client information.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
