Join a team building a new print portal to generate web-interactive, personalized variable data full color documents for a corporate clientele. Use your graphics, digital press, client service, and AI skills to help create a web-to-print storefront for Corporate Communications Center, Inc.
You will have production, pre-press, client contact and varied duties to help an eight-person team handle printing and mailing assignments from large Dallas-based corporations and agencies. Corporate Communications Center, Inc. provides digital print, database, and mailing services for major corporations across Dallas and beyond. With a long and profitable track record we are leveraging corporate relationships to create a menu driven portal for clients to submit cards, letters, brochures and booklets, edit, and combine with their CRM data into full color variable data documents with QR and PURL codes, landing pages, and metrics gathering/reporting.
Departments we serve are marketing, investor relations, and HR departments at demanding corporate clients.
Position Overview
An opportunity in an arena greatly impacted by the emergence of AI generated content and variable data digital print. You may be degreed, or you may have industry experience. A small company environment where client deadlines and requirements are tough. You’ll handle tasks necessary to get out daily print jobs. All this while joining the technology innovation effort!
Direct client interface, pricing, job onboarding, file processing, pre-press and digital press operations will help you in our development of new software interfaces for variable data printing and Web-to-Print Storefront portal. You will learn our job input system for quotes, work orders for production staff and status reporting for clients. We want a business expansion mindset.
You will work directly with company leadership, and interact directly with clients as a knowledgeable, responsive point of contact that keeps accounts coming back. Client relations combined with sales talent is important for a compact team with a big business clientele.
Compensation & Earnings Opportunity
This role offers a competitive base salary for production work and client account support, plus commission earnings for business expansion with accounts. This provides income opportunity with uncapped commission on new business from client accounts you directly support. Commission is paid on collected revenue and follows a tiered structure that emphasizes new business development. Commission eligibility requires meeting minimum production performance standards. Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Press Design
- Prepare, preflight, and proof customer-supplied artwork for print readiness
- Perform layout adjustments, trapping, imposition, and color corrections as needed
- Ensure all files meet press specifications and troubleshoot file or format issues
- Collaborate with account and design teams to resolve artwork problems
- Maintain digital archives and file management systems
Variable Data Printing & Web-to-Print Storefront
- Work with company leadership to develop and expand use of VDP software for merging lists with client documents
- Assist clients with template updates and document management within the Web-to-Print Storefront platform
- Utilize QR code and landing page tools to enhance client booklets, letters, and personalized communications
- Support growth of extreme personalization capabilities as a differentiating service offering
Digital Press Operation
- Set up, calibrate, and operate digital presses. Assist in day today press operations across 3 digital presses and 1 inkjet press.
- Monitor print output to ensure accurate color, registration, and finishing
- Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting of press equipment
- Escalate issues to service technicians when necessary
- Order and track press consumables: toner, waste toner cartridges, and feed rollers
Client Relations & Account Support
Client relationships are a meaningful part of this role — not an afterthought. You will be a production-knowledgeable point of contact who helps retain and grow the corporate accounts.
- Serve as a responsive, knowledgeable resource for existing clients on file prep, specs, and turnaround questions
- Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities within active accounts
- Assist in onboarding new clients by guiding them through our production process and capabilities
- Participate in client outreach, follow-ups, and relationship-building activities
- Become familiar with our work order system and maintain current knowledge of key client profiles
AI Development & Innovation Projects
- Participate in special projects exploring and integrating AI tools into core business functions, including print marketing automation and AI-generated content for corporate documents
- Work closely with company leadership to develop the emerging AI content market for personalized corporate booklets and communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, evaluate, and implement AI-based solutions that improve efficiency, quality, or customer engagement
- Contribute ideas to drive innovation within the company's digital and print services
QualificationsRequired
- Experience in pre-press design and digital press operation
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
- Working knowledge of RIP software, digital print workflows, and color management (CMYK, Pantone, ICC profiles)
- Comfort in client-facing situations — you enjoy working with people and representing what you know
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred
- If you are recently degreed, this is an unusual career opportunity with an established small business with big business corporate clients. You will need the above-specified graphics experience or previous training to handle pre-press and digital print operations.
- Experience with specific digital press models (Ricoh, Canon, Xerox)
- Familiarity with variable data printing (VDP) software and Web-to-Print Storefront platforms
- Knowledge of QR code, landing page, or digital finishing tools
- Familiarity with print MIS systems or workflow tracking tools
- Prior experience in account management, estimating, or print customer service
Education & Experience
- Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Print Production, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years in a print production or pre-press role
Work Environment
- Office environment near downtown Dallas
- Mix of computer-based design work and hands-on press operation
- Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs may be required
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven production environment
- Collaborative team with a strong emphasis on technology, innovation, and continuous improvement
