Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a DEPENDABLE and mature individual to join our team in a full or part-time Professional Dog Trainer and Kennel Attendant role. This position may involve a combination of hands-on dog training and kennel care responsibilities depending on experience and facility needs. Some evenings and weekends are required.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the dog training industry while contributing to the daily care and structure that keeps our programs running smoothly.
Trainers will undergo an evaluation and training phase to ensure alignment with Levels K9 protocols. The length of this phase will depend on experience and the Head Trainer’s assessment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional dog/horse training experience REQUIRED.
- Experience working in a kennel, daycare, veterinary clinic, or similar environment preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Desire to learn and apply Levels K9 training methods and protocols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to remain calm and objective in all situations
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills with co-workers and clients
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to work weekends and evenings.
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds and stay active throughout shifts
- Professional demeanor with a focus on maintaining a drama-free work environment
Job Duties
Depending on role and experience, responsibilities may include:
Training Responsibilities
- Assisting with and/or training dogs in board and train programs
- Working with dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Following established Levels K9 training protocols
- Assisting with client lessons and follow-ups as needed
Kennel Attendant Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and facility areas
- Walking and safely handling dogs
- Feeding and administering medications as directed
- Monitoring dogs for health or behavioral concerns
- Assisting with structured yard rotations and exercise routines
- General facility upkeep
All team members are expected to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.

Compensation will be discussed at the interview and will vary depending on experience and role.
