Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support our accounting functions to ensure smooth financial operations. Your expertise will help us uphold our commitment to excellence and precision in all financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Record and process accounts payable and receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and Quicken.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Manage AP and AR on a weekly basis.
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and ensuring timely payments.
- Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses and preparing financial reports.
- Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions in spreadsheets and accounting systems.
Skills
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online)
- Excellent skills in spreadsheets for data analysis, reporting, and budgeting purposes.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliation accurately.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Prior bookkeeper or accounting clerk experience is highly valued.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
