Century Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our Houston team. This position is responsible for designing commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems, preparing submittals, coordinating with project teams, and supporting successful project execution from design through installation.

What You'll Do
- Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects
- Develop layouts for wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems, fire pumps, and water storage tanks
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing
- Prepare design drawings, submittal packages, and permit documents
- Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, contractors, and AHJs
- Conduct field surveys and site visits as needed
- Review project specifications, contract documents, and applicable codes
- Generate fabrication lists and material requirements
- Provide design support during installation and resolve field-related design issues
- Assist with project closeout documentation and as-built drawings
Qualifications
- Experience designing fire sprinkler systems
- Proficiency with HydraCAD, SprinkCAD, AutoCAD, or similar fire sprinkler design software
- Understanding of NFPA standards and fire protection system design principles
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Certification (Level I, II, or higher)
- Experience performing hydraulic calculations
- Commercial, industrial, healthcare, multi-family, or warehouse project experience
- Knowledge of permitting and AHJ requirements
