Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Infusion Center. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer IV infusions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong background in nursing, competent IV access skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Our infusion clinic is open 365 days per year, including weekends and holidays. This full time position consist of four (4) weekdays and every other weekend. Candidates must be available to work scheduled weekends and some holidays as needed to support continuous patient care.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Assist with triage and coordinate care for patients requiring additional services
- Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred, familiarity with infusion therapy
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Athena.
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and patient assessment.
- Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
