We are currently seeking to fill a full-time position for our front desk team.
Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, managing administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong office management skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with various computer applications. Bilingual abilities are a plus. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized office environment while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients
- Register patients according to established protocols
- Assist patients to compete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Move patients through appointments as scheduled
- Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries
- Transfer calls as required
- Schedule patient appointments
- Collect co-pays and payments
- Obtain authorizations for sonograms, procedures and outside radiology imaging
- Obtain medical records from previous doctors for patients
- Respond and comply to requests for information
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Complete other administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proven experience in office administration, clerical work, or receptionist roles; experience as a dental or medical receptionist is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including correct grammar, spelling, and legible writing.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills; bilingual abilities are preferred.
- Skills in answering the telephone pleasantly and helpfully and using multi-line phone system.
- Strong typing skills along with attention to detail for proofreading and document accuracy.
- Prior experience in personal assistant roles or bookkeeping is advantageous.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
