Job Title: Line Cooks
Compensation: Part-time available, minimum wage guarantee of $19.10-21.00/hour (depending on experience)

Description: Lost Grove Brewing is looking for experienced line cooks to join our La Pointe location, with pizza experience and/or morning availability! Help us craft quality meals and provide exceptional service in a team-oriented environment. As Idaho's first B Corp brewery, we pride ourselves on a positive workplace, great beer, and delicious food!
Line Cook Responsibilities:
- Attention to detail during food preparation.
- Monitoring the temperature of ovens as well as cooking times.
- Monitoring inventory and communicating when more supplies are needed.
- Cleaning workstations before meal preparation.
- Ensuring that all utensils and cooking equipment are sterilized before each use.
- Plating or packaging meals accordingly.
- Managing all food order slips and ensuring that customers’ orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Disposing of expired or spoiled ingredients at the end of each shift.
Education and Experience:
- Previous line experience required
- Must be at least 16 years of age
Special Requirements:
- Ability to have a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Strong desire to support and source local.
- Interest and focus on supporting sustainability measures and waste reduction.
Necessary Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage stressful circumstances associated with a fast-paced and evolving work environment
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- A respect for safety procedures and willingness to follow all protocols associated with creating a safe work environment
What You’ll Learn:
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, services, ordering, and inventory control.
- Familiarity and knowledge about food handling procedures.
- Good understanding of quality assurance, quality control, problem-solving, and troubleshooting kitchen-related issues.
- How to use specialized equipment including an oven, mixer, sharp knives, food ingredients, slicers, and dishwashing machine.
- How to use the Point of Sale system to take call-in and walk-up orders as well as manage online orders.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
This is a physical job that requires long periods of time on your feet and the ability to move quickly and efficiently. The preferred candidate for this position will be comfortable performing repetitive movements and have the mobility to push, pull, crouch, kneel, crawl, etc.
A person in this position must have the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. They must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move about 160 lbs.
Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this position, the worker is exposed to inside environmental conditions, extreme heat, potential for physical injury, exposure to hot fluids and machinery, and moving machinery.
