Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our Surgical Services department on a part-time basis. The CNA will assist with patient preparation, basic clinical tasks, and overall support for the surgical care team.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including transport and hygiene needs

Provide basic patient care such as bathing, positioning, and monitoring vital signs

Assist with postoperative care and discharge support under RN direction

Maintain cleanliness and organization of surgical suites and patient care areas

Transport patients and equipment as needed

Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Qualifications:

Active CNA certification in the State of Michigan (required)

BLS certification (required)

Previous experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
