The Director, EHSSQ leads change through effective communication and collaboration providing clear and consistent messages, standards and programs encouraging a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness for Grace’s Operations within a certain region. Primary responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all governmental environmental, health and safety regulations, quality compliance, and implementing Grace & industry standard best practices, and working collaboratively as part of the senior leadership team to guide operations and EHSSQ site management. The focus of the role is to lead safety culture and compliance regionally, as well as EHSSQ system implementation, where the organization operates in a healthy, safe, secure, sustainable, and environmentally responsible manner through the utilization of leading EHSSQ initiatives, policies, and standards employing a continuous improvement mindset. Accountable for the performance and results, and coordination for work between the EHSSQ organization and the global operations community.
The position reports to the Vice President, EHSSQ with a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional VP, Operations. Reporting directly to this role is the Regional Quality Specialist and indirectly to this role is a team of Site EHS Managers within region.
