Commercial Garage Door Technician Helper
Job Brief
We are seeking a helper for an experienced Commercial Garage Door Technician to install, repair, and service commercial garage doors and door hardware.
The Commercial Garage Door Technician helper’s responsibilities include performing routine maintenance checks, identifying repair needs, sourcing parts and equipment, and ensuring that all installations and repairs meet industry standards.
Our ideal candidate has an understanding of mechanical and electrical principles, is able to work in physically demanding conditions, and commits to providing excellent customer service.
Wage is commensurate with experience and is competitive.
Responsibilities
· Assist in the installation of garage doors and door openers:
· The helper assists the lead installer in the installation process, the work is done efficiently and accurately.
· Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in garage doors and openers.
· Source and order parts and equipment as needed.
· Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean working environment.
· Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
· Stay current with the latest technologies & techniques in commercial garage door installation & repair.
Qualifications
· Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles.
· Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· High school diploma or equivalent. A certification in a relevant field is a plus.
