Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring smooth retail sales transactions.
- Serve food items promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and proper food handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math to ensure accurate transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines and quality standards.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or café experience is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with coffee preparation and serving techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous for efficient order processing.
- Demonstrated ability in retail math, cash handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures within the food industry.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining quality service.
- Familiarity with serving in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes teamwork and attentiveness.
