Role Description:
Responsible for maintaining the assurance of quality control programs at the manufacturing level in support of aerospace and aviation electronic communication and data cabling equipment. Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, safety inspections and functional operational tests during the production, modification, and repair of aerospace and aviation cabling.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience, one of which specializes in aviation and aerospace testing.
- Ability to use precision measuring devices (e.g. calipers, micrometers, tape measures, dial indicators, height gages and multi-meters, and pull testers. (contact retention testing).
- Experience soldering and crimping and performing manual DWV testing preferred.
- Experience using test equipment: Microscope, Measuring Tape, Calipers, Go-no go gauges, Mili-ohm meter, Multimeter, Network Analyzer, Hi pot and IR tester, Capacitance meter preferred.
- Working knowledge IPC-A-620 and J-STD-001 preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first article testing of in-process and final inspection of military cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors, and wired enclosures.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, bill of materials, schematics/wire lists, inspection instructions, workmanship standards, process, and test specifications.
- Perform first article, in-process and final inspection of military cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors, and wired enclosures.
- Inspect molded parts for flex tests and hardness limitations.
- Perform inspections of miniature parts and connections using a microscope and or magnification lights.
- Read interpret and apply assembly drawings, parts lists, bill of materials, schematics/wire lists, inspection instructions, OEM standards, process, and test specifications.
- Coordinate workload prioritization for manual, electrical, and RF testing based on production department schedule and needs as communicated by Lead.
- All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Consistent sitting in one place at a bench or table.
- Occasional walking, bending and stooping in a manufacturing environment.
- Occasionally pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds and lifting 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to see minute details up close and distinguish between colors with exposure to high intensity lighting.
- Consistent use of a microscope or magnifying glass to see and manipulate minute details.
- Consistent use of fingers on both hands to grasp, manipulate, and assemble minute and small objects.
- The ability for quick and flexible hand movements together with arm movements, grasping with two hands to manipulate and assemble objects.
- Persistent exposure to indoor hot and cold conditions, and loud manufacturing noise levels.
