After 30 years working for the office , our Wonderfull dental hygienist is retiring . We are seeking for a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to take over her days on Tuesdays and Thursdays .In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health for patients of all ages, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience every time. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. ( FMX are not taken by the hygienists )
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong oral health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation review.
- Follow strict infection prevention management protocols by implementing aseptic techniques and adhering to healthcare infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience working in general dentistry
- Proficiency with dental software systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention standards.
- Ability to perform x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient safety protocols.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and effectively communicate treatment plans.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
