Be the First Step in Exceptional Care
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Representative (also known as an Outpatient Access Representative) to support our clinics across Monroe County and surrounding areas. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients during clinic visits, ensuring an efficient, accurate, and welcoming experience from check-in to check-out.
What You’ll Do:
- Welcome and direct patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
- Register and verify patient demographics and insurance in the electronic medical record system (EMR)
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups using EMR and access systems
- Collect co-pays and reconcile daily payments
- Answer and route incoming calls, and manage telephone encounters in EMR
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure billable services
- Monitor patient flow, wait times, and lobby conditions to support service excellence
- Use HIPAA-compliant practices to protect patient privacy
- Assist with charge reconciliation and resolve registration issues
- Support new team members as a resource, when needed
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of administrative or customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and scheduling tools preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
