Job Summary
Join our team as a Host/Server, where your energy and hospitality skills will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. For some shifts, you will be hosting, which is the welcoming face of our restaurant, managing the waitlist, seating guests efficiently, and providing exceptional customer service all while busing, running food and assisting the servers. For the other shifts, we need servers with server experience, as we are very fast-paced and stay busy from open to close. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction from the moment they arrive until they leave. Must have weekend availability.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage waitlists, and seat guests promptly using Toast.
- Take customer orders accurately, relay them to kitchen staff, and process payments using POS systems while maintaining food safety standards.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies with clear communication and positive attitude.
- Manage phone communication with potential guests, demonstrating proper phone etiquette and professionalism at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a host/hostess and server in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with Toast is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize guest relations and organizational skills is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety standards to ensure a clean and safe dining experience for all guests.
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
