Job Summary:
Warehouse Lift Operators are responsible for moving product in the warehouse in a safe manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Experience operating a stock picker in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift, pull and push heavy items throughout the day
- Comfortable working 30 feet in the air on a lift to pull furniture from racks
- Open and assemble furniture when necessary
- Unload delivery trucks using caution to avoid damage
Ensure the workspace is clean and free of debris
- Repair and touch up product when necessary
- Verify the product matches the description on the label
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent active listening skills.
Knowledge of the merchandise sold.
- Excellent attention to detail is a must
- Working knowledge of handheld scanner preferred
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse experience preferred.
On-the-job training provided.
Weekends are required to work at Virginia Furniture Market
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 125 pounds at times
Push, pull, bend squat with heavy items
Work 30 feet in the air
Must be able to pass both a background check and a pre-employment drug screen
