Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing challenges using established clinical techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with each patient’s goals and needs.
- Provide engaging therapy sessions for pediatric and adult patients, utilizing evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and caregivers to coordinate care strategies.
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to support ongoing communication development at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid licensure or certification as required by local health authorities for practicing speech therapy.
- Prior experience working with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to perform detailed patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect compassionately with diverse patient populations.
Pay: $100.00 per hour
