Recreation Aide (Temporary, 32 Hours/Week)
At Pierce Memorial Baptist Home, a skilled nursing facility nestled in Connecticut’s beautiful Quiet Corner, we believe every day is an opportunity to enrich lives, create meaningful connections, and bring joy to the older adults we serve.
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative individual to join our team as a Recreation Aide. This temporary position is approximately 32 hours per week for six (6) months, with a flexible schedule that may vary and includes some weekend coverage.
What You'll Do
As a Recreation Aide, you'll play an important role in enhancing residents’ quality of life by:
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of engaging recreational and therapeutic programs
- Encouraging resident participation and fostering meaningful social interactions
- Assisting residents as needed, including transportation to and from activities
- Following safe resident handling and transportation practices
- Working independently while collaborating with the care team
- Maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality
