Alt Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructional Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and students to facilitate effective instruction, provide individualized support, and contribute to the overall success of our educational programs. Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them with academic tasks and reinforcing learning concepts.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Assist in the management of classroom activities and maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement strategies for student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
- Support the integration of technology into the classroom and assist students in using educational software and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the classroom.
- Basic knowledge of instructional strategies and learning principles.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Background check and clearance required prior to employment.
