Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, to transport vehicles across the usa
- Load and unload vehicles using manual handling techniques or equipment, ensuring proper securing of cargo according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or unforeseen delays
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) class A
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, and route driving
- Proficiency in automatic transmission,
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards
- Experience with logistics cargo
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during loading/unloading operations
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, hazard awareness, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations
