Job Posting Overview
We are seeking an experienced Process Project Manager to join our customers’ Integrated Project Management Team at their industrial site. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in the EPCM business model, industrial manufacturing, and capital maintenance project experience.
The Process Project Manager will play a key role in front-end engineering, scope definition, and capital project planning, partnering closely with unit leaders to align technical solutions with site and CAPEX strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of capital projects across a diverse range of industries, including mining, minerals processing, chemicals, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals, from concept through commissioning.
- Assist Project Managers with Front-End Loading (FEL) and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) activities, including project planning, scope development, and technical coordination.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, vendors, and client stakeholders to support project execution and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Assist in developing project scopes, cost estimates, procurement packages, technical specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
- Support procurement activities, including supplier engagement, bid evaluations, technical reviews, purchase requisitions, and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and support quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Track project costs, schedules, risks, and action items while maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Ensure project activities comply with company, client, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Contribute to integrated project teams and develop project management skills while supporting multiple concurrent projects across a variety of industrial sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Process, or related discipline).
- 0-3 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, engineering design, or project management within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Understanding of engineering project delivery principles, preferably within an EPCM environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project scheduling or project management software is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting capital or industrial projects within mining, minerals processing, chemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, or other manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to FEL/FEED project phases and capital project delivery processes.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, supplier coordination, and contractor management.
- Knowledge of project scheduling, cost tracking, and risk management principles.
- Internship, co-op, or early career experience in an EPCM, consulting, or industrial engineering environment.
- A strong desire to develop a career in project management with opportunities to work across multiple industries and disciplines.
