Job Overview
The Terminal Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the branch location and market area. This position oversees daily operations, employee management, customer relationships, business development, and financial performance. The Terminal Manager works to ensure company goals are met while maintaining high levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch and ensure all departments are operating efficiently.
- Manage and support warehouse, transportation, dispatch, sales, and office personnel as applicable.
- Monitor branch performance and work to achieve operational, financial, and customer service goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
- Identify opportunities to grow business within the market and support sales efforts.
- Assist with customer issue resolution and ensure service expectations are met.
- Manage staffing needs, including hiring, training, coaching, and employee development.
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and address performance concerns when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Review operational and financial reports to monitor branch performance.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with company leadership to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
- Investigate operational or personnel issues and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Represent the company within the local market and community when appropriate.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or distribution operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Strong background in transportation management systems, inventory management software, and warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated success in managing profit & loss statements, budgeting processes, and process improvement initiatives such as lean methodologies.
- Supervisory experience supervising teams in fast-paced distribution or warehouse settings with a focus on logistics management.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of supply chain analytics tools to optimize inventory control, materials management, order fulfillment, and distribution operations.

Pay: $63,826.05 - $80,000.00 per year
