POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibility includes training and overall management of standards of practice and patient care within assigned areas ensuring established treatment model is maintained and followed in a therapeutic manner across all shifts. Maintain and assist staff in quality patient care established guidelines. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team of Nursing, Direct Care and Therapeutic Recreation to insure both schedule and therapeutic programming are maintained. Maintain at least a 50% clinical caseload of individual, family, and group responsibilities on their respective unit. Appropriately support and implement Center’s Treatment Philosophy of Dignity, Respect and Understanding. Demonstrate initiative, innovations, care and proficiency, a high level of responsibility and an attitude conducive to the effective functioning of the therapeutic milieu. Expected to learn the basic knowledge and skills for Collaborative Problem Solving.
EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 year clinical/supervisory experience in psychiatric setting

Child/adolescent psychiatry experience preferred

Bilingual preferred
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A preferred

JOB SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Coordinate as needed with other department, i.e. physician, admissions, case management, other nursing staff

Demonstrates proficiency in staffing assignments, taking into consideration patient acuity and staff experience in collaboration with director or designee

Provides leadership, education, support, and clinical direction to unit staff to include crisis management, debriefing regarding restraints and seclusions, if applicable

Maintain at least a 50% clinical caseload of individual, family and group responsibilities on respective unit
