We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Mitigation Technician to join our emergency response team. In this role, you will be the first responder on the scene of residential and commercial property damage. You will help clients recover from unexpected disasters by performing water extraction, structural drying, smoke cleanup, and mold remediation.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency property damage calls for water, fire, smoke, and mold.
- Mitigation Work: Extract standing water, set up industrial air movers and dehumidifiers, and perform selective demolition of damaged building materials.
- Site Documentation: Take accurate moisture readings, map affected areas, and log daily progress notes using company mobile tools.
- Customer Care: Guide clients through the mitigation process with empathy, clear communication, and professionalism.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, maintain, and stock all restoration equipment and company vehicles after each job.
- On-Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend emergency on-call schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs and stand, bend, or crawl in tight spaces for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a standard background check and drug screen. Background must be clear of felonies & misdemeanors.
- Experience: 1+ years in construction, restoration, or general labor preferred, but paid training is provided for the right entry-level candidate.
- Certifications: IICRC certifications (WRT/ASD) are a plus, but not required to apply.
