About WAXON
At WAXON, we are building the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted, expert-led, and judgment-free body care studios. We deliver skin and body care in a clean, elevated, and unpretentious environment. We are seeking an operational powerhouse and culture leader to step into our Studio Manager role across our Seattle studios.
Position Overview
As the Studio Manager at WAXON, you are the operational anchor across our locations and the primary point of contact for our service providers. You will own day-to-day studio workflow, empower our esthetician team, and drive operational excellence.
This is a unique hybrid role designed for a skilled esthetician who thrives on blending client care with leadership. You will manage inventory supply chains, lead staff check-ins, oversee daily studio logistics, and maintain an open book for waxing services.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Serve as the direct supervisor for estheticians across locations. Oversee daily shift checklists, manage timesheet adjustments, lead monthly 1:1 check-ins, and coordinate initial onboarding and training.
- Inventory & Supply Chain: Own full-cycle stock management—reconciling backbar and retail inventory across locations, running weekly audits in Mangomint, restocking locked surplus, and executing wholesale vendor orders.
- Studio Operations & Scheduling: Solve real-time daily operational bottlenecks, handle last-minute coverage for team call-outs, manage time-off requests, and maintain studio standards.
- Client Care: Deliver expert waxing services during open book hours, maintaining WAXON’s signature service protocols.
What We’re Looking For
- Active License: Active Washington State Esthetician or Cosmetologist license required.
- Leadership Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in salon/spa management, lead esthetician duties, or retail operations preferred.
- Operational Tech Skills: High comfort level learning and using digital tools (experience with scheduling apps like Mangomint or When I Work, and task software like Asana is a strong plus).
- Problem Solver: Calm under pressure, self-directed, and proactive when resolving last-minute scheduling shifts or inventory bottlenecks.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, direct, and empathetic communication style when providing feedback to peers or handling client requests.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
