SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, this role is a senior Individual Contributor on the Manufacturing Supply Chain team, serving as a subject matter expert across strategic sourcing, supplier long-term agreements, quality, and engineering interface, and supply base development. This role owns high-impact, complex supply chain challenges that require deep technical and commercial expertise. It will require a detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional analytical, supplier management, negotiation, and business intelligence skills, capable of driving strategy and delivering results independently.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned product lines, including market analysis, supplier qualification, competitive benchmarking, and sourcing strategy development to drive cost, quality, and supply continuity objectives.
- Negotiate, develop, and manage Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) with key suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring terms support VSE Aviation’s growth targets, margin objectives, and supply chain resilience.
- Serve as the primary supply chain interface with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve complex supplier non-conformances, manage technical requirements flow-down, and ensure parts meet airworthiness and customer specifications.
- Contribute to assessment of the long-term health and capability of the supply base through supplier risk evaluations, capacity assessments, financial health reviews, and diversification strategies to proactively mitigate supply chain disruptions.

Apply technical problem-solving skills to resolve complex supply chain challenges, including root cause analysis of recurring delivery or quality failures, development of corrective action plans, and implementation of sustainable process improvements.

Identify and evaluate new product line opportunities, supplier partnerships, and distribution agreements to support VSE Aviation’s SC Strategy & Growth objectives, including modeling financial returns and presenting recommendations to leadership.

Utilize Business Intelligence tools to analyze ERP and supply chain data, develop models, KPIs, and strategic reports that support sourcing decisions and executive visibility into supply base performance.

Identify, assess, and develop new revenue and profit growth opportunities through supplier collaboration, contract optimization, and proactive market intelligence.

Lead cross-functional reviews and communicate supply chain strategy, supplier performance, and risk posture to internal and external stakeholders at business review meetings or as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, finance, procurement/supply chain, or similar analytical field

7 years of relevant work experience, at least 5 in aerospace or defense industries.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel expertise
