In this role, you’ll be driving the latest Peterbilt 389, 9 car haulers. That'll be assigned to you. While transporting multiple all brand-new OEM vehicles. Also making safe and timely deliveries across different routes. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their driving skills, knows how to handle equipment safely, and can navigate routes efficiently. Duties
- Safely operate a 9-car hauler trailer, ensuring secure loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, adhering to safety protocols.
- Drive route-specific deliveries, managing schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor-trailer, checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security.
- Navigate routes using GPS and route planning tools while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Handle various types of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers to report delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, load details, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial vehicle operation.
- Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks for precise control during complex maneuvers.
- Knowledge of different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using forklifts or manual techniques; forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong route driving skills with excellent navigation abilities across various terrains and conditions.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures for different cargo types.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers for long-distance or local deliveries; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
