Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance technician to join our maintence team. In this position you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, internally and externally, to ensure the safe and proper functioning of our facilities and equipment
Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
-Perform routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and follow technical manuals to perform necessary repairs
- Test and maintain the pool and hot tub chemical levels correctly to ensure water safety clarity
- Store and handle pool and other chemicals safely and properly
-Overall upkeep of hotel grounds and landscaping
-Operate snow removal equipment to ensure safe parking areas and walkways
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
- Be attentive, courteous and efficient in the dealings with the guests, managers and all other employees
- Perform any other duties as requested by management
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals
- Ability to perform various maintenance tasks, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with staff or external service providers
