Summary:
The Traveling Imaging Service Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing medical imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines. They will work closely with medical staff to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly and meets all safety standards. The Imaging Service Engineer will also be responsible for training medical staff on how to properly use the equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
What you will do:
- Maintain and repair medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, X-Ray and Ultrasound machines
- Install new equipment and ensure it meets all safety standards
- Train medical staff on how to properly use equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with equipment
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs
- Stay up-to-date with new technology and advancements in medical imaging equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience working with medical imaging equipment for a minimum of 7 years
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass background and drug screen.

Safety Requirements:
- Maintain a safe working environment for self and others if they come in contact within the biomed area in accordance with the facility’s policies
- Must follow OSHA guidelines in regard to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens, radiation, sharp instruments and/or tools, hazardous liquids, and operating devices
- Ontime completion of safety trainings assignments
- Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot & cold ranges of temperature, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect/distinguish colors
- Must be able be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely
