ATC Healthcare is currently looking for caring and committed Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential environment. You will assist clients with their daily routines, which include meal preparation, administering medications, personal hygiene, and engaging in recreational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with everyday living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and accurately document each administration.
- Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks for clients.
- Involve clients in recreational and social activities and help coordinate community outings.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical and emotional health to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe living area for clients.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 6 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift and transfer clients as needed.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
