Customer Service & Sales Representative
Overview
Mississippi Candle Company is looking for a positive, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service & Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll help create exceptional experiences for our customers by answering questions, resolving concerns, recommending products, and building lasting relationships across multiple communication channels.

Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service through email, phone, live chat, social media, and other communication channels.
- Assist customers with product recommendations, order questions, shipping inquiries, and troubleshooting.
- Turn customer interactions into sales opportunities by confidently recommending products, bundles, and promotions that fit each customer’s needs.
- Resolve customer concerns with empathy, professionalism, and a solution-focused mindset.
- Process orders, returns, refunds, replacements, and exchanges accurately while following company policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer records using company software and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with direct leadership to ensure customers receive timely and accurate information.
- Monitor customer feedback and communicate trends or recurring issues to leadership.
- Help maintain a positive brand image through every customer interaction.
- Stay knowledgeable about our products, fragrances, promotions, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, e-commerce, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Comfortable recommending products and identifying opportunities to increase sales while prioritizing the customer’s needs.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple conversations while maintaining accuracy.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience with Shopify, ShipStation, TikTok Shop, or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
