Job Overview
Join our team as a Paratransit Driver with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), where you’ll play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation services. Your approach will ensure passengers, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care, experience comfortable journeys.
Duties
- Safely operate paratransit buses and vehicles equipped for transporting passengers with varying mobility needs, including those requiring wheelchair accessibility.
- Provide courteous, professional assistance to passengers, ensuring clear communication and addressing individual needs with patience and respect.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle’s mechanical systems to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially children, seniors, or individuals with special requirements, demonstrating excellent childcare and behavior management skills.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while delivering exceptional customer service in a lively and positive manner.
- Collaborate effectively with dispatchers and team members using strong communication skills to coordinate schedules and respond to changing conditions.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport; clean driving record required.
- Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or commercial driving roles involving passenger safety.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities or multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse communities.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,520.00 per week
