Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $16-17/hr + $1.25 shift differential
Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm, 5am-1pm, 1pm-9pm

Job Overview:
An experienced Furniture Sprayer is responsible for applying high-quality finishes to wood furniture products in a manufacturing or workshop environment. This role requires advanced knowledge of spray techniques, coatings, and surface preparation to meet production and quality standards common in the Thomasville furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare furniture surfaces by sanding, cleaning, filling, and masking prior to finishing
- Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and varnishes using spray equipment (HVLP or pneumatic spray guns)
- Mix and match finishes to achieve required colors, tones, and textures
- Monitor drying times and environmental conditions to ensure proper curing
- Inspect finished products for defects such as runs, bubbles, or uneven coatings and perform necessary touch-ups
- Maintain and clean spray equipment, booths, and work areas daily
- Follow production schedules and meet output targets without sacrificing quality
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards, including proper use of respirators and protective equipment
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in furniture spraying or industrial finishing
- Strong knowledge of wood finishing processes and coating materials
- Experience operating spray guns and finishing equipment
- Ability to read work orders, color specs, and finishing instructions
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience in furniture manufacturing (common in Thomasville area)
- Ability to color match and blend finishes accurately
- Knowledge of spray booth operation and ventilation systems
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of finishing equipment
Work Environment
- Furniture manufacturing facility or finishing shop
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals (PPE required)
- Fast-paced production environment with quality standards
