Responsibilities
- Accurately pick items using order picker equipment and barcode scanning systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Pack products securely, ensuring quality control standards are met for safe delivery.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling tools to load and unload shipments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by updating warehouse management systems (WMS) and conducting regular stock counts.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch by labeling, wrapping, and organizing pallets according to safety protocols.
- Follow safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all materials handling activities.
- Support warehouse distribution tasks such as stocking shelves, loading trucks, and assisting with shipping & receiving processes.
Skills
- Proven experience with warehouse operations including order picking, packing, and inventory management systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy.
- Manual handling skills with an emphasis on heavy lifting and materials handling safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards including PPE use, forklift operation, and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
