Job Summary
The Print Screen Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screen-printing equipment to produce high-quality printed products in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This position ensures efficient production, accurate color matching, proper material handling, and adherence to all safety and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and/or automatic screen-printing presses.
- Review work orders, artwork, specifications, and production schedules before production runs.
- Prepare screens, inks, and substrates for printing operations.
- Mix inks and perform color matching to meet customer and quality requirements.
- Monitor production runs to ensure print quality, registration, color consistency, and productivity standards.
- Inspect printed products for defects and perform quality checks throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues, including alignment, ink flow, screen defects, and equipment malfunctions.
- Clean, maintain, and store screens, squeegees, tools, and related equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on printing equipment.
- Accurately record production data, material usage, downtime, and quality inspections.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping teams to meet customer deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and good housekeeping practices.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Assist with training new operators as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
