Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of commercial or industrial facilities. This role is vital in ensuring that all building systems, mechanical and electrical components, and safety protocols are managed efficiently, compliant with regulations, and maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise facilities maintenance teams, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the repair, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical systems, and high/low voltage equipment.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures aligned with safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and asset records.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits and training staff on proper procedures.
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs while managing budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, safety inspections, and repair procedures for audit purposes.
- Lead efforts in managing facilities management operations to optimize energy efficiency and operational costs.
- Conduct inspections of the property to identify potential issues early and implement corrective actions proactively.
Skills
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, electrical systems—including high voltage—and plumbing system maintenance.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, Ohmmeters, and other troubleshooting tools for engineering diagnostics.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols across facilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting, planning, and communication purposes.
- Experience managing projects using CMMS software; ability to prioritize tasks effectively within tight deadlines.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team management, training, and motivating staff members.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance procedures including electrical experience at both low voltage and high voltage levels.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments' specific needs related to facilities management including HVAC system repair and industrial maintenance practices.
