Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and precisely. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, familiarity with inventory management systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment safely. Duties
- Efficiently locate and pick items using RF scanners, manual picking methods, or order sheets according to order specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and crane systems in accordance with safety protocols
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling of heavy or bulky items
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating stock levels in warehouse management systems
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies during all warehouse activities
- Support warehouse supervisors in maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and promote a safe working environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related roles within a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Strong manual handling skills with the capacity for heavy lifting when required
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for material handling equipment operation
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse setting is a plus but not mandatory
