The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for safely performing electrical and mechanical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role includes troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. The position requires working in environments with exposure to high voltage, varying temperatures, chemicals, confined spaces, and mechanical hazards.
The technician is also expected to continuously develop their technical skills, assist team members with troubleshooting and production issues, perform grounds maintenance throughout the year, and provide housekeeping support when needed.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility systems.
Work safely around high-voltage equipment, chemicals, and mechanical assemblies.
Follow all workplace safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Assist with troubleshooting production and process-related issues.
Perform grounds maintenance throughout the year.
Complete minor housekeeping and production-related tasks as needed.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Continuously improve technical skills and maintenance practices.
Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and PPE requirements.
Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with industrial automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to read and write English.
Must provide and maintain required maintenance tools with secure storage.
Excellent attendance and willingness to work overtime as needed.
