Forklift & Floor Scrubber Operator

Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-minded Forklift & Floor Scrubber Operator to join our team. This is a temporary position with the potential to become full-time based on performance, attendance, business needs, and position availability.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable operating both forklifts and commercial floor-cleaning equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and position materials as needed.
- Operate ride-on and/or walk-behind floor scrubbers throughout assigned areas.
- Complete required equipment inspections before use.
- Maintain clean warehouse, production, dock, and facility floors.
- Sweep and remove debris as needed before scrubbing floors.
- Properly clean and maintain floor-scrubbing equipment after use.
- Report equipment damage, maintenance concerns, spills, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain awareness of pedestrians and other equipment while operating machinery.
- Keep assigned work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and according to company and customer standards.
- Assist with additional cleaning, material-handling, and facility duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Forklift certification required or ability to complete required training/certification.
- Floor scrubber or other commercial cleaning equipment experience preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM, 1st Shift.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. The position also requires getting on and off equipment throughout the shift and working in an industrial or warehouse environment.
