Property Maintenance Technician
Pay: $22-29/hr + Snow/on call bonus + HVAC install bonus ($125 per install)
Hours: 7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm Monday-Friday (monthly on call rotation)
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks at properties managed by the company. The successful candidate will have experience in performing general repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry work. This role is essential in ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for residents and visitors.
Responsibilities:
· Perform general maintenance and repairs in units, common areas, and grounds.
· Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
· Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
· Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and report them to the Property Manager.
· Ensure that all work orders and maintenance requests are documented and completed within a timely manner.
· Complete unit turns as soon as possible after the unit is vacated.
· Perform carpentry tasks such as hanging doors, installing cabinets, and repairing walls and ceilings.
· Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and groundskeeping duties as needed.
· Ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
· Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Must be available for emergency maintenance calls outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Ability to work independently and with a team.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
· Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
