Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Punch Press Operator specializing in Strippit machines to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up punch presses to shape sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine operation, tooling setup, and quality inspection will ensure that production runs smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality fabrication processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Strippit punch press machines, ensuring accurate tooling installation and machine calibration for each job
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to produce precise sheet metal parts
- Program CNC punch presses for complex operations, optimizing cycle times and material utilization
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of punch press equipment to minimize downtime
- Perform quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and adherence to specifications
- Use hand tools, fabrication equipment, and tooling to prepare materials and assist in assembly processes when needed
- Follow safety standards rigorously, including proper use of cranes, forklifts, and other machinery involved in sheet metal fabrication
Precision Sheet Metal & Machine Shop That is ISO9000 has the following openings:
Punch Press operator Minimum 3 years experience, must be able to set up and operate. Capable of reading Blue prints a must, Amada experience a plus
This is a full -time position available, first shift working hours 7:00 AM to 3:30PM
