Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting early childhood learners as a contracted Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based assignment beginning mid-March and continuing through the end of the school year. This maternity leave coverage is conveniently set for four days a week, with a possible half-day schedule on Wednesdays, offering a great work-life balance. You'll be working alongside dedicated staff, including an SLPA, to provide vital speech and language services for an early childhood caseload of approximately 32 students.
Key Qualifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs, or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Open to SLPAs with appropriate licensure or certification
- Experience in pediatric or early childhood settings highly valued
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Ability to provide supervision to SLPAs (for SLP applicants)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy for a diverse early childhood population
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Document and track student outcomes, maintaining compliance with regulations
- Potential to provide supervision to SLPAs as needed
