About Us
Cream City Concepts is Milwaukee’s hospitality group built for the energy of a packed house. We run Oak Barrel Public House, Who’s on Third, Who’s on Layton, Cream City Catering, and 3rd Street Retreat — craft food, cold drinks, game days, date nights, big events, and a place to stay, all over the city. The pace is fast, the standards are high, and the people are what make it work.
About the Role
The Dishwasher is the engine of the kitchen. A clean, fast, fully stocked dish station is what lets every other station do its job — when the pit runs right, the whole kitchen runs right. This is a hands-on, high-pace role responsible for washing and sanitizing all dishware, glassware, and smallware, keeping the back of house clean and safe, and jumping in to support the team wherever it’s needed. It’s also the first step on our culinary Craft Track — the place a lot of great cooks get their start.
One Kitchen, One Team
In our kitchens, nobody is above any station. When the team needs it, everyone crosses over — as a Dishwasher you’ll help with prep, put away deliveries, and jump in wherever the kitchen needs a hand. We run as one team, not separate jobs.
Clean and Organized — Always
There’s no standing around in our kitchens — if you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean. When you’re not on a task, you’re cleaning, organizing, restocking, or prepping ahead. You keep your station and the kitchen clean and organized all shift, and you work the cleaning checklists — daily, weekly, and monthly — without being asked. A clean, organized kitchen is the standard here, not the exception.
What We’re Hiring For
Skills change by station. These five don’t — they’re the bar in every CCC kitchen, every shift.
- Optimistic Warmth — You bring good energy to the back of house and stay steady and positive when it’s slammed and the night runs long.
- Curious Intelligence — You’re a self-starter. You don’t wait to be told the next thing — you learn the systems fast and find the cleaner, faster way.
- Work Ethic — You take pride in a spotless rack and a reset station. You push through the rush to get it right, not just get it done.
- Empathy — You see what the line, the bar, and the servers need next — and have it ready before they ask.
- Self-Awareness & Integrity — You do the closing checklist right when no one’s watching, and you own a mistake and fix it.

- Support overall BOH cleanliness: trash and cardboard, sweeping and mopping, floor mats, and surface wipe-downs.
- Assist with deep-cleaning and equipment-cleaning tasks as assigned.
Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all health-department sanitation standards, including safe chemical handling per label and SOP.
- Maintain correct dish-machine temperatures and sanitizer levels; report any issue to a supervisor immediately.
