About the Role
La Imperial Taqueria is looking for a creative, organized, and reliable Social Media Manager to help grow our online presence and showcase our food, team, and restaurant locations.
The ideal candidate understands current social media trends, knows how to create engaging short-form content, and can maintain a consistent brand presence across Instagram and TikTok. This position will require visiting both our Shafter and Wasco locations to capture content.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage a consistent social media content calendar
- Film and photograph food, employees, restaurant operations, and special promotions
- Create and edit Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, Stories, and feed posts
- Write engaging captions that match the La Imperial brand
- Post content consistently across social media platforms
- Monitor trends, popular sounds, and local content opportunities
- Respond to comments and messages professionally
- Promote menu items, events, hiring announcements, and restaurant updates
- Coordinate with management regarding promotions and upcoming content
- Review social media performance and recommend ways to improve engagement and reach
- Maintain organized files of photos, videos, and completed content
Qualifications
- Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok
- Strong photography and short-form video skills
- Experience using editing apps such as CapCut, Canva, or similar platforms
- Strong written communication and caption-writing skills
- Reliable transportation and the ability to visit both restaurant locations
- Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines
- Comfortable filming food, employees, and behind-the-scenes restaurant content
- Knowledge of current social media trends
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- Restaurant, hospitality, or food-content experience is a plus
Schedule
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. Some availability during restaurant operating hours, weekends, events, and promotional campaigns may be required.

Pay: $25.92 - $28.47 per hour
