Overview
As an Assisted Living Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. You will provide compassionate care and support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to promoting independence and dignity among seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include personal care, medication administration, and engaging residents in meaningful activities.
Duties
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a warm and welcoming environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
- Take vital signs and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure residents receive proper nutrition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas and common spaces.
- Utilize systems for accurate documentation of care provided and resident progress.
- Engage residents in social activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral management techniques is a plus.
- Experience in home & community care or personal care homes is beneficial.
- Knowledge of meal preparation and cleaning duties related to caregiving is essential.
