ONBOARDING COORDINATOR

Position Overview
We are seeking organized, detail-oriented Onboarding Coordinators to join our team in North Bergen, NJ. The Onboarding Coordinator will work closely with Recruiters, Safety, Compliance, HRIS, and driver candidates to ensure each onboarding file is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Recruiters to facilitate the Verification of Employment (VOE) process, including verification of a minimum of one year of CDL driving experience.
- Review and complete driver files before submission to the Safety/Compliance team.
- Ensure required documentation is accurate, current, and accounted for, including rate sheets, VOE documents, proof of residence, driver’s license, DOT physical documentation, medical card, Social Security card, and other required onboarding documents.
- Schedule Form I-9 completion through UKG and complete I-9 processing in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate onboarding and I-9 status information and complete required data-entry updates in Tenstreet.
- Submit requests to HRIS for required Cornerstone driver training courses.
- Communicate frequently and professionally with driver candidates regarding missing documents, onboarding requirements, status updates, and next steps.
- Follow up with candidates and internal departments to ensure files are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential candidate and employee records.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple candidates, files, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Comfortable communicating directly with driver candidates and collaborating with multiple internal departments.
- Experience with UKG, Tenstreet, Cornerstone, CDL driver onboarding, I-9 processing, transportation, or compliance is preferred.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, typically 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. An earlier start time may be considered based on operational needs. Overtime may be available or required during high-volume periods.
