Position Summary
We are currently looking for a Part Time candidate to work Thursday and Friday only. The Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for providing safe, therapeutic, and customized massage treatments while delivering an exceptional client experience. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, bodywork techniques, and client care within a medical spa setting, working collaboratively with our aesthetic and medical team.
Responsibilities
- Perform customized massage therapy services including (but not limited to) Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Lymphatic Drainage, and Therapeutic Massage
- Conduct thorough client consultations to assess needs, medical history, and contraindications
- Educate clients on treatment benefits, self-care, and wellness recommendations
- Maintain accurate and timely client treatment notes in accordance with spa and medical guidelines
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and stocked according to med spa standards
- Follow all state licensing laws, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with estheticians, providers, and front desk staff to ensure seamless client care
- Promote retail products and spa services in a professional manner
- Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming presence at all times
Qualifications
- Current and active Massage Therapy License in the state of practice
- Minimum of 6 months- 1 year of professional massage therapy experience preferred
- Experience in a med spa or clinical setting is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Certification or experience in lymphatic drainage, post-op massage, or medical massage
- Familiarity with EMR or spa scheduling software
- Interest in continuing education and advanced modalities
